Rex Griffin, Author

Author of Historical Fiction and longtime Civil War Reenactor, the dogs in the neighborhood think of me as “The Treat Guy.”

Mentored by the late Jack Bickham. . .

I graduated from The University of Oklahoma with a degree in Professional Writing. After years of raising a family and earning a living, and with encouragement from friends, I decided to chase my lifelong dream of writing a novel.

I love history. Always have. So it seemed natural to write a novel of a fascinating time and place swept into the corner of American history. Studying under the likes of Donald Maass, Lisa Cron, and William Bernhardt, I have crafted Brittle Leaves On An Angry Wind.
