I have a degree in Professional Writing from The University of Oklahoma, where I studied under the late Jack Bickham. Recently I attended workshops with Donald Maass, Lisa Cron, and William Bernhardt. I just finished my novel, Brittle Leaves on an Angry Wind, the story of Shad, an African slave of Creek Indians at the outbreak of the Civil War. A longtime history buff and Civil War reenactor, I am a former Captain of the 77th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry and former Oklahoma Department Commander of The Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War.
